Mary Lorraine's Dance Center has been a dance studio in Omaha for 32 years! In those 32 years, MLDC has seen many dance studios come and go in Omaha. Located in Old Millard, Mary Lorraine's Dance Center has stood the test of time. Providing quality dance training and affordable dance classes. MLDC's dance classes are intended to be fun and creative but also provide technical dance training in ballet, jazz dance, tap dance, contemporary dance, hip hop, pointe and more!
How We Do It: A Balancing Act
MLDC is under the direction of Mary Lorraine who has 40+ years of dance teaching experience. With this expertise, MLDC has the unique ability of balancing the discipline and rigor of dance with a fun-loving and nurturing environment. Which proves to be the best way to teach dance to children and teens.
A few ways we do this:
Requiring a traditional dress code while having fun dress up days for holidays.
Using creative imagery to teach proper form and technique.
Having young children take combination classes of classical ballet and tap to balance a more structured technique (ballet) with one where you can let lose more (tap).
Teaching manners, respect, and poise but also allowing time for students to be creative and a little crazy!
